Configure Custom Option Data for a DHCP Server Subnet

Use this procedure to configure custom option data for a DHCP Server subnet. Unless you create a subnet-specific configuration, subnets inherit the global configuration.

Before you begin

You must first configure Custom Option Definitions. For more information, see Configure Custom Option Definitions for the DHCP Server.

Procedure

  1. In the navigation pane, expand Configuration > IP.
  2. Select DHCP Server.
  3. Select the Subnet Custom Option Data tab.
  4. Select Insert.
  5. In Subnet IP, type the subnet network address.
  6. In Subnet Mask, type the subnet mask.
  7. In ID, type the DHCP code for the custom option.
  8. In Value, type the data value to assign to the custom option for this subnet.
  9. Select Insert

Subnet Custom Option Data Field Descriptions

Use the data in the following table to use the Subnet Custom Option Data tab.

Name Description

Subnet IP

Specifies the network address of the DHCP subnet.

Subnet Mask

Specifies the subnet mask for the DHCP subnet.

ID

Specifies the DHCP code that identifies the Custom Option. The code must be an integer in the range from 224 to 254.

Value

Assigns a data value to this Custom Option for use within this subnet. The value must use the data type that you configured in the Custom Option definition.
